Brainy AI: Traineeship Programme for 2025 – 2026 (PHASE 2)

Introduction

This initiative is designed to empower ordinary individuals to enhance their skills within the AI industry and be able to secure employment (locally and abroad) upon completion. Set to commence in July of this year until December 2026, it runs concurrent with our phase 1 programme which initiated in January 2025. 

Details

• Duration: 18 Months
• Stipend: R9 680.00 (with UIF, Paye, SDL deductibles)
• Training: Fulltime, Workplace based training in Midrand (G.P) and Cape Town (W.C)
• Requirements: South African Citizenship, Grade 12, Computer Literacy essential, Currently unemployed and not participating on any learnership/internship/full time studies.

Programme in details:

We are seeking 15 candidates to be placed in 2 workplace training environments based in Midrand (6 candidates) and Cape Town (9 candidates) and partake in an 18-month training to be equipped with the knowledge and skills to understand, build, and implement AI systems used by corporations to enhance their service offering; These include: 

• Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI)
• AI in Education
• AI Product Manager Professional
• AI For Business Specialization

• Johannesburg: Midrand (Satellite office) – No accommodation available
• Cape Town: Woodstock (Brainy AI HQ) – Accommodation available as per need

Application Process

1) Fill in the below online form which only requires the content of your resume without any attachments needed.

2) Each application is reviewed in its merit and candidates who match our primary criteria will be contacted within 24 hours to 7 days to commence with the second stage of our recruitment process.

3) On the second phase, candidates will be required to submit a series of three online assessments to determine if they are ready to undertake the abovementioned training, the first 15 people to successfully complete these challenges will then be appointed to commence with the initiative in July 2025.

4) The second phase of the recruitment is managed by a third party corporation and therefore; as a measure to ensure that candidates who participate in these assessments are individuals who optimally comprehend the details and importance of this initiative: candidates are required to fund a fully refundable assessments fee of R270.00 to commence with the selection assessments. As stated, the first 15 candidates will be automatically appointed as our trainees and unsuccessful (or candidates who have made late bookings) candidates shall be refunded their fees in full.

5) Before candidates are set to commence with their assessments, they shall receive a printable contractual agreement that entails the above motioned details, full terms and conditions which legally serves as a binding pre contract between the company as well as the participating individual.
